smells like a north america union (i don't remember voting for that!)


i'm trying to get through the bureaucratic red tape and attain a british or european union passport. i figure, if things keep going the way they are, it might not hurt to have an escape route. trying to navigate the government website can lead one to madness, so i wrote. here's one response:

From November 2008 all new passport applications made by British nationals in North America - including Canada - will be processed at the North America Passport Production Centre in Washington DC. Please go to the following link at http://ukinusa.fco.gov.uk/en/passports , for all of the information that you need. You will be able to download and print UK passport application forms from this website.
